Dearest Kitten:
I am dashing
off a few words to tell you that I love you and am always thinking of you.
I have just
returned from Tallahassee. Yesterday afternoon I went in for a few things and
to play some golf.
There were
two other golfers that I went in with and we had a very good time. Last night
we did our shopping and went to bed early. We were up at 8:30 and went golfing
after Mass. We were playing until 4:30 this afternoon. We went back to the
Service Club to get a shave before getting something to eat and we meet Sgt.
St. Jean and he was in with ten men who played basketball. We came back with
them They had made arrangements for
steak dinners at a small town outside of camp, so we waited until we were
almost in camp before we ate. Were we hungry. It was seven thirty before we had
supper and we had had only breakfast all day long.
Did we dive
into the chow - uh-huh. I had three bottles of beer and I am contented in a
way. Nothing will ever make me really contented until I can be with you always.
That day may not be too far distant, I hope & pray. Missing you so much is
the only thing that bothers me about the Army.
How can I
tell you, in a letter, about my love for you. A letter is so impersonal. The
day will come when it will be possible for me to tell you that I love
you every day. Pray that, that day is not too far distant.
Well
Beautiful I have to close as it is getting late. Tomorrow I will probably hear
from you and I will be able to answer your letter or letters. They usually come
two at a time.
Give my
regards to everyone & kiss the babies for me.
I love you,
Sweetheart.
Your Loving, Devoted,
& Faithful Husband
Bob
