Dearest Kitten
I love you. You are the first and only gal that has ever made me feel the way I do about you, and you will be the only one that will ever make me feel that way. What I am trying to tell you is that you are the only gal for me, and I never meant anything as much as I do that.
Your wonderful letter of Friday came today. Thanks, for such a wonderful letter.
I do not have time to answer it but will do my best.
About my furlough, it will be some time before I get it, and I will be lucky to have time enough to let you know beforehand. With luck it will be in December some time. Do not plan on anything because, as you say, it will be tough on you if you become disappointed after waiting so long.
We are going through four weeks of intensive training. After that I hope that we get a break. We have been working pretty darn hard and deserve some sort of a break.
Just took time out to have a pint of ice cream. One of the men went over to the P.X. and got us whatever we wanted.
We got paid tonight after chow. I salted it away for that furlough we are both looking forward to. I will be in the dough if I get another pay before I do get it.
I bought some "safes" so that is all set.
No visiting for me if I can help it. I want to be with my wife every night. What a time we will have.
I sure would have liked to have seen him trying to pump up the tires. The little rascal is smart. Let us hope that he stays that way.
Barby will soon have all of her teeth, huh?
Poor girl, it will be a shame if she has to go through life bald-headed.
Stop worrying about my hair. It is still short, but not as short as the first time. I have let it grow out a bit so that is not too bad. You should see my mustache though.
Bobby is getting to be quite a guy if he has started to talk over the phone.
There are two things that I crave for outside of you. A good cold glass of water and a good cup of coffee. You had better see that your silex does not get busted before I get a chance to have one cup of coffee.
How I would love to be loved by you, Sweetheart. When I get home, what a f--k good time we will have. Just hope that my furlough does not land on the wrong time of the month.
Tonight I will say a little prayer for Roland. They may take him even with a punctured ear drum.
Do not worry about me as I take very good care of myself. In fact I am putting on weight.
I love you, Beautiful.
Regards to all & kiss the babies for me.
Your Husband
Bob
