Dearest
Kitten
How I wish
that I could feed and pet you. I will be the happiest man in the world when I
can take you in my arms and tell you about my great love for you.
I do love
you, Sweetheart. You never need to worry about that.
Yesterday
afternoon I had planned on writing a nice long letter, but right after dinner
we had to go down to the boats and get them all rearranged. I will be lucky if
I finish this letter.
After supper
I was busy with the Lt. on our orders. Got through at 10:30, so I was unable to
write.
It is now
4:00 P.M. and we just got back from another problem that started this morning
at 5:00 A.M. Tonight we go on our last problem. I will be busy all night again.
So I am trying to get this letter off before supper.
The kitchen
set must look pretty nice. Here's hoping that I will get the opportunity to see
it soon.
The list of
men who leave Wednesday is up on the bulletin board. They are giving us five
days and traveling time. I am afraid that it will be some time as yet before I
get mine.
You tell me
to reread your letters before I answer them. If I did that, you would never get
a letter from me. It is not that we work so hard but it is because we are
always waiting around some place all the time. In the Army it is the time it
consumes rather than the amount of work that is done.
I had my OD's
cleaned so you need not worry about them. I am all set to leave as soon as I
get that little piece of paper.
My tan is
still with me, but I do not know as I am darker.
I have three
stamps left, so you had better send me some.
That pin that
you wanted. They do not have any in camp. I may be able to get some on the
outside, if I can ever get out.
It is too bad
about Andrew but it is no worse for him than anybody else. Of course Estelle
feels bad about it, so did you when I left.
Before I can
send some souvenirs, I will have to get someplace where I can buy some. They do
not have any on the post. If I get to Tallahassee again, I certainly will send
some souvenirs.
I remember
the Lessard who worked on salvage out at South Lowell. He always seemed like a
nice guy.
With luck Dr.
Lemire will see you about those frustration pains. I have just the thing to
relieve you of those pains. At the earliest opportunity I will be happy to take
care of the situation.
Give our poor
orphans a big hug and kiss for me the next time you see them.
I love you,
Beautiful, and am only waiting for the time when I can take you in my arms and
show you just how much.
Give my regards
to everyone and kiss the babies for me.
I love You.
Your Loving,
Devoted, & Faithful Husband
Bob
