Dearest Kitten:
I love you, I love you, I love you, that is all that seems to want to come off the end of my pen. It could be that my pen knows what is in my heart. It is so strong that it has the power to control my pen. Love that powerful is really something.
This afternoon I took time out to take a shower and to straighten my clothes out a bit. It was my first shower since leaving home. You can see how busy that I have been. Last night I worked until midnight, and was I dead tired.
We are starting to pack. It means a hell of a lot of work between now and the time that we have. We have to catch up on all our little odds and ends. It is going to be hell on wheels for me. Every five minutes, somebody will be calling up wanting something.
All the men are trying to get three day passes so that they can have a last fling and the C. O. does not and can not give them passes. What a headache!
I have hopes of going to a movie tonight as long as nothing comes up. At the last minute something is liable to come up so that I can not get out of the office.
You say that you are lost without me. Well, I am like a babe 3 years old who is lost in a big city, sometimes. What a feeling, I feel so damn all alone. I am very lonesome for my Beautiful, Gorgeous, Wonderful, Generous, Lovable, wife.
It sure does not seem like three years since the time that we became one. Although we have not been together very much of the time that we have been married, we have had a lot to be thankful for.
It did seem as though we were busy all the time that I was home. It was because we were always going somewhere or coming back from someplace.
We sure have a couple of nice children. How I love them too. They are sure lovable.
Thanks for the little note from Bobby. It was cute.
I was glad to see that you had company. It is good for you to have somebody come up every once in awhile.
It would have been nice if I could have eaten you up so that I could bring you with me wherever I go.
Roland should take better care of himself than what he does. It is too bad that he did not see fit to go for the Hospital ship deal. Just because he had to go to school for awhile should not have stopped him. A man needs some training even for that job. Even though he would be in the capacity of a noncombatant it is still necessary to train a man to take care of himself. One never knows when it will be necessary to fight for one's life.
It will not be necessary to send me a box every week. Of course I would appreciate a box now and then but do not put yourself out too much. Too bad about your cookies not coming so good, but I bet the others will be great.
Perhaps you would like to know how I feel. Well the truth of the matter is that I am fine but I never seem to get enough sleep.
Do you mean to tell me that you threw away another safe? Have you heard about the rubber shortage? You had better watch out or the O.P.A. or somebody will be after you for throwing away an essential product.
Going out and playing will help the children a great deal. It will be good for you also. Make you keep that school-girl complexion and shape. Umm!
I can just taste those cookies. I bet that they are good too. If you can send a box now and then it sure will be great.
Well Darling I have to close as I have some troubles on my hands. To be specific a man who got drunk while on guard duty. I have to replace him and am putting him under arrest. He has been giving me too much trouble. I have given him his last break, now it will mean a Court Martial.
Thanks for the letters and keep them coming.
Thank your mother for the candy again please.
Kiss the babies for me & regards to everyone.
I love you, I love you, I love you.
Your Loving, Devoted, & Faithful Husband
Bob
