Dearest Kitten
Do you know that your husband loves you very much? At the present moment he is very lonesome for the sight and sound of you. His arms are aching from the desire to hold you.
Yes Sweetheart, how I wish that this mess was all over and we were at home enjoying a life of peach and quiet. After leading an Army life for as long as I have, peace and quiet will be a godsend.
Thanks for the card, it was very thoughtful of you. It came with letters 43 & 44. I have stopped numbering my letters because I have lost track of them.
Do not censor my brother too badly because he does not write to me. I know how he hates to write and because of his other feelings due to his inability to get into the service makes it twice as hard for him to sit down and write. It is a poor excuse I suppose but knowing Roland as I do, it does not surprise me.
Buying more insurance for Bobby was a good idea. He will always find it very handy. I only hope that he wants to continue his education after completing high school.
How come Pauline T. is getting so friendly all of a sudden. She must not have any other places to go, but twice in a short time is a record.
The broom situation is rough over here as well as at home. We have trouble getting them, so I am not surprised at your inability to get them.
Last night I saw a U.S.O. show. Jackie Heller, who used to be on the breakfast club, was one of the stars with Lew Parker, who is one of the best comedians that I have seen in a long while. I laughed so much that the muscles in the back of my head were aching. The show lasted for two hours and never a dull moment.
The day will come when Bobby will be able to kiss his daddy before going to bed instead of his daddy's picture.
You are a rather neglected wife but it will soon be over and then you will not be neglected again, I promise you.
Sorry to hear that Lorraine is having so much trouble with her baby. Give her my regards and well wishes the next time you see her.
Regards to everyone & kiss the babies for me.
Your Loving, Devoted & Faithful Husband
Bob
P.S. Send me a pr. of shoe type slippers with a plain toe so that I can wear them out.
I love you kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss
