2:00 P.M.
Dearest Kitten
Did you know that there is a man in Company C that is always looking at your picture? By the way he acts, I would say that he is in love with you. Every day, at least once during the day, he goes up to your picture and looks at it. You can tell that he loves you by the love light shining out of his eyes.
I am positive that nothing would make him happier if he should meet you personally. If he did, I know that he would start to make violent love to you and being what he is, you would probably let him. Yes! Sweetheart that man is nobody but your loving husband who loves you so much and misses you with all of his being.
All that I look forward to, and all that I dream about is the day when I will be allowed to return to you.
Your package came this noon and I was happily surprised when I opened it. The pocket book will come in very handy as mine is falling apart. My handkerchiefs were getting pretty well worn too. The crib board will be put to good use at some future date when I have a little more time. The bible that mother sent me is very nice and I appreciate it very much.
5:10 P.M. You may be wondering how come that I started this letter in the middle of the afternoon. Well, at 12:30 we fell out and were told to get our packs & rifles. I came in the barracks and put on my pack and started re-reading your letter of Friday that came this noon. By the time that I finished, I looked around and nobody was around so I started by myself to the training area and did not find anyone. The sun was hot and I was lazy, so I got sick of looking for them and came back to the barracks. About three, they came back and I caught hell.
Oh! well, a man has to F-ck up once in awhile, so I got away with it.
I just got through reading your letter of Saturday. It came tonight. Thanks for the stamps.
Where did you get that hat, Where Oh Where.
The pictures are not too clear but I like them anyway. I found the "Good Luck" charm only because you mentioned it in Saturday's letter. (Just got through looking for it.) We do not get paid until tomorrow so your nickel is a God send, also the dollar from Roland & Rita.
I only wish that I was present with you at the Hi Hat. Would we have fun.
Hi Hat Roller Rink, Princeton Blvd, Lowell, MA (Postcard)

I am glad that you can go out and have a good time for yourself occasionally. It is not good for you to stay home and brood all the time.
Time has passed rapidly for me also Dear. It does not seem that just a month ago that I was home last. Then again it appears as though I had not been home for years.
Bobby sure is a wise guy. He was afraid you would scold him for wetting himself and that was the reason he did not get up.
By the way I liked your picture and do not take my ribbing about your hat to heart. It is not too becoming in the picture. You look real well in your new outfit though. Thanks.
What makes you think that I am the one that has the brains in our family?
You write beautiful letters, Kitten, and I look forward to them so much. Stop worrying about why I picked you for my wife. All you have to do is stop and concentrate on all of your virtues, then take a look in the mirror and you will have all the answers.
I have been planning to write to a lot of people. So if nothing comes up tonight, I may get a chance to.
I love you, Beautiful. Always remember that and whenever you go to church, please light a candle for me.
The way I feel toward you is a feeling as great as the love of Romeo and Juliet. The fact is that they were rank amateurs as compared to us. Huh? Sweetheart.
There are all kinds of rumours going around about everything. Some of them, I would like to believe but there are so many that it is hard to pick the truths out of the lies.
I will wait until we are given official announcements before taking any stock in them.
Have some secret business to take care of right away, so until tomorrow.
I love you, Kitten.
Give my regards to everyone and kiss the babies for me
Your Loving, Devoted, & Faithful Husband
Bob
