Dearest Kitten
I love you very much and my love for you is growing stronger with every passing day.
Your daily letter was very conspicuous by its absence today. The days that I do not receive a letter from you are very unexciting and dull. I look forward to your letters so much and miss them so much when they do not arrive every day. I forgive you because I know how hard it is to write a letter every day.
Tonight I received a carton of Raleighs from Roland & Marion. Nice of them to remember me. That makes four letters that I will have to write. With luck I hope to write to Roland & Marion and to Roland & Rita.
We are having an inspection tonight of some of our equipment, so if I sign off suddenly you will know why.
Rumours of furloughs are becoming more and more persistent. Just keep up your courage and say a prayer for me.
Today we got paid and what a happy day for all of us as we were all very broke. Providing that nothing unusual happens, I will have enough money to get home on, if we get a furlough. My pay was $72.00. Quite a bit of dough for a little guy like me.
Have you received your check yet?
I received so much dough because they finally paid me my months back pay.
Sweetheart, I love you, but duty calls and the Lt. just came in so I will be busy for the next hour or so.
Give my regards to all and kiss the babies for me
Your Loving, Devoted, & Faithful Husband
Bob
